Derby players celebrate finishing 3rd in the Championship a huge improvement on last season’s 20th place. Although having led the league earlier in the season a 3rd place finish means a playoff to try and win the final promotion place to the Premier League.
Final score Derby 2 Leeds 0; in game which the referee was hospitalised with several broken ribs and Leeds had a man sent off for a head butt.
Leeds were relegated after finishing 24th and I would like to take this opportunity to say “hahahahahahahahaha” (pause for breath) "hahahahahaha". After living in Leeds for many enjoyable years but being on the recieving end of many heavy defeats I feel a lot better for that! :-)
